SEO strategy and content production usually live in different tools. You research in one tool, decide what to write, then context-switch to a writer and re-explain everything. Brand DNA and KoalaWriter remove that step.
How the handoff works
- You discuss strategy with the agent. It reads your GSC + GA + Brand DNA, surfaces opportunities, and helps you pick what to write next.
- Agent recommends an article. "Based on your GSC data, you're ranking position 8 for [keyword] with 2,000 monthly impressions but only 60 clicks. A focused article could move you to top 3. Want me to create it?"
- You say yes. The agent calls
create_article_in_koala_writerwith the topic, keyword, angle, and (optionally) a specific writer preset. - Brand DNA flows through automatically. The article is created with your brand context, voice, and credentials pre-filled.
- Agent monitors status. It can call
get_article_statusto check progress andget_article_contentto read the finished article. - You can ask follow-ups in the same chat. "Now create three more articles in the same series" or "Wait, let's adjust the angle on that one."
What gets passed to the writer
When the agent creates an article, it passes:
- Topic + target keyword: from the strategy conversation.
- Article type: blog post, listicle, service page, etc., picked from context.
- Writer preset (optional): uses brand-scoped preset if available.
- Brand ID: for full Brand DNA enrichment at write time.
- Custom instructions: any specific angle the conversation surfaced.
Article presets
For brands with established content patterns, set up writer presets (one per article type) in Brand DNA. The agent's list_writer_presets tool lets it pick the right preset for the job, ensuring every article matches your brand's standards on tone, length, format, and structure.
Bulk handoff
The agent can queue multiple articles in a single conversation:
- "Create the top 5 articles you'd recommend this month" → 5 articles queued with appropriate Brand DNA + presets.
- "Build a 10-article series on [topic cluster]" → 10 articles queued sharing a content brief.
- "Refresh these 8 pages that are slipping in GSC" → 8 rewrite jobs queued, each with the original URL and refresh angle.
Where articles land
- Publishing follows your integration settings. Connect WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Ghost, or a custom webhook to the brand and finished articles go straight there as drafts or live, whichever the integration is set to. Articles the agent queues from chat and articles your content calendar generates both take that path. With no integration connected, the article stays in your Library.
- It can edit finished articles. Ask for changes in chat and it rewrites the article in place, keeping the previous version in history. For a live WordPress post it reads the real published content first and asks before touching it, and it stops outright on pages built with Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, or WPBakery.
