    • Added a Flat Outline option to the V2 Structure settings in KoalaWriter — emit top-level H2 sections only, with H3 subsections dropped across every article type (blog posts, listicles, service pages, Amazon reviews, rewrites). Useful for shorter articles or when you want a cleaner, flatter body structure.
    • Improved the Shopify integration in KoalaWriter with a smoother store connection that walks you through the custom-app setup right on the connect screen. Read more
    • Added Shopify publishing controls: choose your default blog, set new posts to publish live or save as a draft for review, and set the author name. Set these defaults from your account’s integrations settings, or confirm them each time you create a draft.
    • Updated the default image model in the KoalaImages API from the deprecated standard model to GPT Image 2 Fast when no model is specified — same 1 chat credit per image, with better instruction following and image quality. Existing calls that pass an explicit model are unaffected.
    • Added a generateAltText parameter to the KoalaImages API — set it to true and the response’s alt field returns a short accessible description of the image, generated alongside the prompt enhancement at no extra credit cost. The alt field is now always present in responses (empty string when not requested).
    • Refreshed the KoalaImages API documentation with a Models table, sample output, the full list of supported sizes and aspect-ratio shorthand, and the new preserveOriginal and generateAltText options.
    • Redesigned KoalaImages around a persistent settings sidebar on the left and a unified compose card at the top, replacing the previous chat-style input area. Image generations now appear as proper cards with grouped quick actions, and long prompts collapse to two lines with a “Show more” toggle. Read more
    • Added a Lossless toggle in KoalaImages for GPT Image 2 generations, which stores the original PNG straight from the model with no re-encoding. Files automatically transcode to a high-quality JPEG after 30 days to keep storage manageable.
    • Improved reference image editing in KoalaImages: with Enhance Prompt turned on, KoalaImages now writes proper edit instructions when references are uploaded, preserving the subject and composition while applying the changes you ask for.
    • Added a mobile drawer for the KoalaImages sidebar so phones get the full width for composing, opened via a settings icon in the top bar.
    • Added GPT-5.5 to KoalaChat, OpenAI’s newest flagship chat model. Uses 3 chat credits per message.
    • Added Claude Opus 4.7 to KoalaChat, Anthropic’s highest-quality model for complex reasoning and longform writing. Uses 3 chat credits per message.
    • Added GPT-5.3 to KoalaChat as a meaningful step up from GPT-5.2, now the default GPT option for free accounts. Uses 1 chat credit per message.
    • Added Gemini 3.1 Pro to KoalaChat, Google’s latest Pro tier model. Uses 2 chat credits per message.
    • Updated the pricing page and KoalaChat API documentation to reflect the new model lineup and credit costs.
    • Launched KoalaLinks Schema Management — manage JSON-LD schema for your whole site from the KoalaLinks dashboard, with site-wide rules, wildcard URL patterns (e.g. /blog/*), per-page custom schema, built-in templates for 12 schema types, and a custom validator built on the latest schema.org definitions.     • Added Domain Settings tab in KoalaLinks — toggle entity schema, schema rules, custom schema, internal links, and related posts per-domain, and trigger a manual cache refresh on demand
    • Reworked Writing Style in KoalaWriter — style-affecting instructions are no longer hard-coded into our prompts, so choosing a different style (or writing a custom one) now has a much bigger impact on the output
    • Added Prompt Overrides — customize and fully replace the instructions used to write titles, intros, sections, list items, places, and products in any article

    • The Growth Agent can also queue articles directly from chat — it proposes article settings inline, you confirm or tweak, and the article goes straight into the queue
    • Overhauled API Key Management on the Account page — named API keys with in-place rename, copy/reveal toggles, a two-phase create flow (key shown once at creation), and a Copy User ID button

    • Introduced Google News integration as a new data source option in KoalaWriter – enables writing about recent events with configurable date ranges (Past Week, Past Month, etc.) when Real-Time Data is enabled. Works best when combined with Deep Research for maximum context and accuracy.
