Beta Update: KoalaLinks Schema Management, Writing Style Control, and More

Connor SmithConnor Smith··

Since launching the Brand DNA and KoalaWriter v2 beta in April, we’ve shipped a stack of updates that give you dramatically more control over your content and connect more of the Koala AI platform together. The headline: a new KoalaLinks Schema Management system, a redesigned Writing Style setting that finally puts you in charge, and a Growth Agent that can manage schema and queue articles directly from chat.

Everything below is live now through the Koala AI Beta Program on Professional plans and above.

KoalaLinks Schema Management

You can now manage structured data (JSON-LD schema) for your entire site directly from the KoalaLinks dashboard. Instead of hand-writing schema or relying on a separate plugin, KoalaLinks injects the right schema for every page based on rules you define.

  • Site-wide schema rules — apply schema (Organization, Article, FAQPage, Product, and more) across your whole domain automatically.
  • Wildcard patterns — target rules to specific URL patterns (e.g. /blog/* or /products/*) so different sections of your site get the schema they actually need.
  • Per-page custom schema — override or add custom schema on any individual indexed page when a rule isn’t enough.
  • Built-in templates — start from pre-built templates for 12 schema types instead of writing JSON-LD from scratch.
  • Built-in validation — we wrote a custom validator using the latest definitions from schema.org so you can catch errors and warnings instantly, before anything is published.
  • Domain Settings tab — toggle entity schema, schema rules, custom schema, internal links, and related posts per-domain, and trigger a manual cache refresh on demand instead of waiting for the next sync.

Writing Style Control

We’ve reworked how writing styles work under the hood. Previously, a lot of style-affecting instructions were hard-coded into our generation prompts, so your style choices were always competing with our behind-the-scenes prompting. We’ve now extracted those instructions and consolidated them into the user-facing Writing Style setting.

The practical effect: choosing a different style — or writing a custom one — now has a much bigger impact on the final article. The style you pick is the style you get.

Prompt Overrides

For users who want to go deeper, you can now customize and fully replace the instructions for how each part of your article is written — titles, intros, sections, list items, places, and products. Each one comes with sensible defaults that you can tweak or fully replace. Combined with the Writing Style changes above, this gives you unparalleled control over the output.

Smarter Writer Defaults

Article Type Suggestions

Not sure what type of article to write? The new Help me choose button in KoalaWriter analyzes your keyword and recommends the best article type — blog post, listicle, service page, product roundup, and more — so you don’t have to guess.

Formatting Controls

You now have direct control over how your articles are formatted. Toggle bold, italic, tables, and lists; set paragraph and section length; and configure a banned words list per article. These options used to live in our prompts; they’re now first-class settings in the writer.

Brand Writer Defaults

Set default writer settings per brand — model, tone, point of view, language, formatting, and more — that auto-apply whenever you generate an article for that brand. Configure once in Brand DNA, then forget about it.

Amazon Short URL Support

Amazon short URLs (a.co and amzn.to links) now auto-expand to full product URLs in the writer, so single-product reviews and roundups work no matter which URL format you paste in.

Brand DNA & Growth Agent

Per-Brand KoalaLinks & Publishing Integration

In Brand DNA, each brand can now be bound to a specific KoalaLinks domain and publishing integration. Multi-brand setups route to the right place automatically — articles for Brand A publish to Brand A’s WordPress site and use Brand A’s internal linking domain, with no manual switching.

Growth Agent Schema Management

The Growth Agent can now fully manage your KoalaLinks schema through chat. Create site-wide rules, set up wildcard patterns, add custom schema to individual pages, and validate everything without leaving the conversation. Say “add Organization schema to my whole site” and it just works.

Write Articles From Chat

The Growth Agent can also queue articles directly from chat. When it suggests a topic — or when you ask it to write one — it proposes the article settings inline, you confirm or tweak, and the article goes straight into the queue. No context-switching to the writer required.

API Key Management

The Account page got a full API key overhaul:

  • Named API keys — give each key a label so you remember what it’s for.
  • In-place rename and copy/reveal toggles for safer day-to-day management.
  • Copy User ID button for support tickets and integrations that need it.
