Koala AI now knows your business. Today we’re launching Brand DNA, its built-in agent, KoalaWriter v2, and the new article editor for everyone, included on every plan. Set up your brand once, and your articles come out in your voice with your real services and credentials, while your agent plans strategy from your actual Search Console data.
Here is what shipped, why it matters, and how to get started.
What’s now included
- Brand DNA: teach Koala AI about your business once (your services, voice, and expertise), and every article and recommendation draws on it.
- The agent: an AI SEO strategist that works from your real Google Search Console and Analytics data, not generic advice.
- KoalaWriter v2: a rebuilt writer that already knows your business, so articles arrive with your services, voice, and credentials in them.
- The article editor: rewrite, expand, or simplify any passage in place, and generate images without leaving the page.
- Content Calendar Autopilot: plan a month with the agent and let it generate and publish on schedule.
- An Analytics dashboard: Search Console and Google Analytics on one screen, with the agent docked beside it.
None of this requires an opt-in. Everything above is live in your account now, with Autopilot included on Boost and above.
Brand DNA
Brand DNA is the foundation. It’s where you tell Koala AI who you are and what you do, once, and then every product in the platform can use that context.
You can build a brand profile three ways: import from Google Maps (best for local businesses), import from your website (best for everyone else), or start from a structured template for your business type. From there you get a knowledge base you edit like documents (with full version history), growth goals the agent uses to prioritize what to recommend, and writing defaults (tone, format, length) that apply automatically to that brand’s articles. Brand slots scale with your plan, from a single-brand preview up to 75 brands on the largest tier, and each brand keeps its own memory, integrations, and settings, so client work never bleeds together.
To be straightforward: Brand DNA flows deeply into KoalaWriter and the agent today, and KoalaMagnets can now attach a brand so its responses draw on your knowledge base. KoalaChat and KoalaImages are not yet brand-aware. We’ll close those gaps over the next few releases.
Brand DNA’s agent
The agent is an AI SEO strategist that works from your real data. Connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and it sees your actual queries, click-through rates, top pages, and traffic patterns. It also remembers each brand between conversations, so you never re-explain your business or re-litigate old decisions.
Ask it anything and it reaches for whatever the question needs:
- Your own numbers: Search Console queries, clicks, CTR, and positions, plus Analytics sessions, channels, and engagement.
- Keyword research: related ideas, long-tail variations, exact monthly volumes, and Google Trends for whether a topic is growing. All of it localized to your market.
- Competitors: who they are by keyword overlap, the pages actually earning their traffic, and the keywords they rank for that you do not.
- Backlinks: your profile, referring domains by authority, anchor text spread, and the domains linking to a competitor but not to you.
- AI search: which of your keywords trigger AI Overviews, who gets cited on them, how citation-ready a given page is, and whether your robots.txt is quietly blocking ChatGPT or Perplexity.
- Live pages and SERPs: it reads any URL and searches Google from a specific city, with local pack and People Also Ask.
- Changing things: it queues articles in KoalaWriter, edits finished ones, updates your knowledge base and writer defaults, manages schema on your KoalaLinks domain, and fills your content calendar.
Every tool is available in every conversation, so the mode you pick just sets the opening prompt. Before it proposes a topic it checks your sitemap and rankings to see whether you already cover it, and a second agent reviews a plan for search intent and winnability before anything reaches your calendar.
Boost plans and above lift the agent turn cap entirely. Professional includes a preview of 25 agent messages per month, so you can try it on your own brand before upgrading.
KoalaWriter v2
KoalaWriter v2 is the new default. What it changes for you: pick a brand and every article already knows your services, your voice, and your credentials, so there is nothing to paste into a brief and nothing to fix afterwards. You decide how prominently the brand appears (Prominent, Subtle, or None) and whether a call-to-action is included, per article or as a default.
The shape of the article follows the job. Service pages adapt to your business type, so a plumber and a SaaS company get different outlines without being told. Listicles, roundups, product reviews, YouTube adaptations, and rewrites each have their own structure.
You also get the newest models: Claude Sonnet 5 as the default, GPT-5.6 alongside it in the Balanced tier, and Claude Opus 5 when a piece is worth the extra time and cost.
New accounts start on v2. If you’re an existing user, nothing changes out from under you: the v1 engine is still there behind a toggle if you have presets dialed in that you don’t want to retune, and we’ll keep it running for the foreseeable future.
The article editor
Every finished article opens in an editor built for working on AI drafts, and it leaves beta today with the rest of this release. Select any passage and rewrite, expand, simplify, or continue it, with the result applied in place. Image generation lives in the editor too, so you can add an image, regenerate it, or modify it without opening another tab.
The agent reaches the same articles from chat. Ask it to tighten a conclusion or cut the third FAQ and it edits the article directly, then remembers the note so your next article starts closer to what you wanted.
Content Calendar Autopilot
Planning and publishing now run without you in the loop. Ask the agent for a month of articles and it checks every topic against your sitemap and current rankings, drops the ones you already cover, schedules what survives, then generates and publishes each piece to your connected CMS on its date, as a draft or live.
Anyone can fill a calendar. Execution is the part Boost turns on, so you can plan first and decide later, and pause or resume a brand in one click.
Search Console and Analytics in one view
A new Analytics tab puts your Search Console and Google Analytics data on one screen: traffic trends, top queries, striking-distance keywords, channel breakdowns, and period-over-period comparisons, filterable by date, country, device, query, and page. The agent sits docked beside it and receives your current filters and on-screen numbers with every question, so its answers describe exactly what you are looking at. More on the dashboard.
Getting started
If you’re new to the platform, the fastest path to seeing what changed is:
- Create your first Brand DNA profile (import from Google Maps or your website).
- Connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics so the agent has real data to work with.
- Open your agent and ask it to analyze your site.
- Hand a recommendation off to KoalaWriter and ship the article.
If you already have a Koala AI account, everything above is already in your dashboard. As always, let us know what’s working and what isn’t. Every change we ship comes from feedback like yours.
