Brand DNA Plans Explained: What Each Tier Includes and What Changes for Existing Subscribers

Connor SmithConnor Smith··3 min read·

Brand DNA is out of beta. After several months of testing with early users, it is included on every plan we sell, and the lineup has been updated to match. This post explains exactly what each tier includes and, just as importantly, what changes and what does not if you already subscribe to Koala AI.

What Brand DNA includes

Brand DNA is one workspace per brand: an AI agent (your SEO strategist), a Content Calendar, a Knowledge Base the agent maintains, your integrations, and your writing defaults. Planning the calendar is available on every plan that includes a brand; autopilot, which generates and publishes each scheduled article for you, starts at Boost. The agent analyzes your business and competitors, plans content grounded in your real search data, writes articles, and can now edit finished articles and update its own Knowledge Base from your feedback.

The plans

  • Free: try the full analysis on your own site with the live demo, plus a small agent preview allowance.
  • Boost ($99/mo): 1 brand with no cap on agent turns, plus our highest word and chat allowances outside the multi-brand tiers. This is the plan most people should start with.
  • Growth and up: multi-brand tiers for agencies and portfolio operators. Growth includes 3 brands, Elite 7, Advanced 12, and the Scale tiers 20, 40, and 75. All lift the agent turn cap.
  • Professional ($49/mo): a lighter tier with 1 brand and a 25-turn agent allowance per cycle, for people who mainly want the writer with the agent on the side.

Annual plans receive their allowances for the full year up front, including agent turns (12x the monthly allowance, usable any time during the year).

If you already subscribe: what changes

The honest summary is that almost nothing you currently use changes, and nothing you have created is taken away.

  • Your existing brands keep working, always. If you created more brands during the beta than your plan now includes, every one of them remains fully functional. The limit only affects creating new brands beyond your plan's count; adding more is what the multi-brand tiers are for.
  • Professional: the agent, which ran uncapped through the beta, now includes 25 turns per cycle. In practice this covers the overwhelming majority of Professional usage we saw during the beta. Your writer allowances are unchanged. If you are on an annual plan, your turns are pooled for the year (300), so heavier months are fine.
  • Boost: agent turns stay uncapped. Boost now includes 1 brand slot; as above, any extra brands you already created keep working, and the Growth tier is the path if you need to add more.
  • Starter (legacy plan): everything you have today works exactly as before, and Brand DNA is included. Starter carries one brand and 25 agent turns per cycle, the same agent allowance as Professional. Autopilot starts at Boost.
  • Essentials (legacy plan): unchanged, and the one plan without a brand slot. Any plan above it includes Brand DNA if you want the agent working on your business.
  • Beta participants: features you used during the beta, like the Content Calendar, stay available to you.
  • Lifetime deal holders: your lifetime allowances are unchanged and stack on top of any subscription, and you now get 30% off any plan, forever, applied automatically at checkout.

Why the agent is metered below Boost

Each agent turn runs real analysis: live search results, competitor data, your Search Console numbers. That costs meaningfully more than a chat message, and uncapped turns belong on the plans priced for them. The in-app meter always shows where you stand, and you will never be charged for turns silently; when the allowance runs out, the agent simply waits for your next cycle or an upgrade.
