Brand DNA Setup in 30 Seconds: Import from Google Maps

The fastest way to set up Brand DNA is to import from a Google Business Profile. Paste the URL, click Import, and 30 seconds later your knowledge base is 70–80% populated.

What gets imported

• Business name, address, phone, hours: the basics
• Services and categories: from your GMB service list
• Photos: your business photos become candidate assets for articles
• Reviews: recent customer reviews are summarized into audience notes
• Q&A: questions customers have asked become FAQ entries
• Categories and attributes: wheelchair accessible, women-owned, etc.
• Geographic context: which neighborhoods you serve, nearby landmarks

Why this matters

Multi-location businesses

If you have multiple locations, each can have its own Brand DNA profile imported from its own GMB listing. The agent + KoalaWriter then produce location-specific content (service area pages, neighborhood-specific blog posts) that's genuinely localized, not just "[city] [service]" find-and-replace.

What you'll edit after import

The auto-import gets you a strong starting point but isn't perfect. After import, expect to:

• Add a brand voice document if you have specific tone preferences
• Flesh out service descriptions beyond the GMB summaries
• Add internal-only context (pricing details, competitor positioning) that doesn't belong on a public GMB profile
• Trim any reviews or Q&A that aren't representative of your brand

The import itself takes about 30 seconds. Reviewing what it pulled in and trimming anything unrepresentative usually takes another 5 to 10 minutes, and that review is what takes the knowledge base from populated to genuinely ready.

What if I don't have a GMB profile?

Use website crawl import instead. Same idea but pulls from your existing site.
