How the Headline Analyzer works
Paste any headline you're considering. We'll evaluate it across five dimensions (clarity, emotional appeal, SEO fit, length, and click-through potential) and return both a numerical score and specific rewriting advice. The point isn't to chase a perfect score; it's to surface tradeoffs (e.g. too long, no keyword, weak hook) and give you concrete alternatives.
What gets scored
- Clarity: does the reader know exactly what they'll get?
- Emotional appeal: does it trigger curiosity, urgency, or value?
- SEO fit: is the primary keyword present and well-placed?
- Length: will it display fully in the SERP and not get truncated?
- Click-through potential: would you click it yourself?
Use the analyzer with KoalaWriter
Once you have a headline you're happy with, drop it into KoalaWriter as your target title. The full article will be generated with that headline in mind (including the H1, intro, and meta description) instead of being rewritten away.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a headline 'good'?
Strong headlines balance clarity (the reader instantly knows what they'll get), emotional or curiosity hooks, a primary keyword for SEO, and a length that displays fully in search results (typically 50–60 characters). The best headlines also make a specific, credible promise.
Is this tool just for blog posts?
No. It works well for blog posts, but you can also use it for email subject lines, YouTube video titles, social media post hooks, and ad copy.
Will the same headline always get the same score?
Scores are deterministic for the same input. If you tweak the headline even slightly, the score and suggestions will adjust to reflect the new version.
